Washington State Expungement can help you if you have a criminal record in Washington State you would like to have expunged.

Washington State Expungement is a service provided by Douglas Stratemeyer, a Washington State Attorney, to help people with a felony or misdemeanor criminal conviction expunge the conviction, or by helping a person with an arrest record expunge the arrest record, by providing a choice of representation and cost options.

WHAT IS AN EXPUNGEMENT?

Expungement is a term commonly used when a person wants to clear a criminal record.  In the legal sense, Expungement technically refers to removing "non-conviction data" from a record, for example a record with the Washington State Patrol.  "Expungement" of a criminal conviction is accomplished by a Motion to Vacate the Conviction.  Because "expungement" is a term more familiar to most people, I use the term "expungement" in this website to refer to the process of clearing a criminal record in Washington State.

ELIGIBILITY FOR EXPUNGEMENT IN

WASHINGTON STATE

To be eligible for an expungement of non-conviction data under Washington State Law, you must satisfy these three criteria:

1- Your record consists of "non-conviction" data, such as an arrest or a dismissal, and not a conviction of a crime.

2- Since the arrest or dismissal, you have not been charged with a new crime, or arrested for another matter.

3- Two years have passed since the date your case became "non-conviction data".  Or,

three years have passed from the date of your arrest, and the case is not currently pending in court.
